Artist Spotlight: Jason Messinger

Jason Messinger is a very interesting contemporary artist and sculptor. His work with tiles intrigues me the most. The idea of reworking the painted or designed tiles every few days as they hang on your wall to create a completely new piece is such a great idea. It lets the purchaser of the work have a hand in its design. Messinger lets the owner of the piece become its adoptive "maker"...kinda. There's a form of artistic control there anyway, and I love it.
